CNET: Origami Round Two

CNET has an article on the UMPC for 2007, and they mention that think it will be hard for Microsoft and their partners to address two major issues they had with the UMPC platform in 2006 and that was price and battery life (my are views here). I think with new solid state drives they will be able to address some of the battery life issues, as well as new 6 and 9 cell batteries that are currently available for the UMPC platforms. But with SS drives, you get a price increase, so price probably won't come down for UMPC with solid state drives for another two years. We'll just have to wait and see, the article makes for an interesting viewpoint on the UMPC.
